A split second that felt like a lifetime. I’ve driven the esses at Sonoma Raceway many times without issue. But this time exited 8b and rear broke loose and I didn’t catch it. So while sliding backward I tried to keep the car from the wall as I skidded. Almost succeeded. The gets it’s name from a purported 300 hp from a 2.2 liter turbo, charge-cooled 4 cylinder. Recently had coils and injectors replaced and dyno tuning at TurboHoses R&D and squeezed out 250 wheel horse power and 248 lb foot torque. Not bad for a 29 year old car!

For 5th grade, August answered “The person I admire the most: the creator of Lotus” Then we go to The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering and met Jenson Button Emerson Fittipaldi and a lovely designer from Lotus (don’t recall his name) who spent time with our son and drew a sketch of the in his signature. This was a special day I am sure he will remember for a lifetime.
