Repurposing some stuff I found. These are RAISED BEDS. Perfect for having a decorative piece, isolating one variety of plants, or having a color combination that is out of this world!! Throw some cardboard in there if you want to move it to another spot next year. 24 inch round but the seam area is 28 inches across.
Hmm 🤔 I’m thinking a different herb in each one! Message me if you want some!

Finishing up the row of raised beds. The tractor will carry the slabs from the pile but there’s lots of tugging and umph before the slabs are in place!
I’m creating a skid row!! LOL 😝 fencing around the garden area so when the ducks are here, they have another area to forage in.

What a scattered day!! Harvested lemon balm, sugar snap peas, did some fencing, more w**d whacking, and got posts cut for tomorrow’s work.

Life on the ranch is scattered indeed! Getting stuff done. Infrastructure getting repaired and ready for the next round of homesteading. Captions on pictures.

Canned omelets!! There’s some funky colors going on because I put onions, mushrooms, meat and cheese in the jars. I tried one the next morning and it was good! Popped off the lid, nuked for 30 seconds and BAM 💥 a good breakfast!! Made some Crusty French bread and then some krout! Mopped the floors, they need it more often but other things are more interesting! LOL 😆

Pulled up the bricks because I like them. LOL 😂
I threw them down to see if I would like them because once done correctly they will be permanent. What if it didn’t work? Well, I love them! So now I’ll get things leveled up and use cement. I sure dreaded pulling them up, it ended up easier than I expected but my bending over muscles are hollering!! Hahahaha! I stacked them close because they are going right back down, if you look through the smoke you can see them.

Easter isn’t Easter without some fresh ground horseradish! Closing in the styrofoam with corrugated plastic sheets my Dad saved years ago. Comments on the rest of the pictures. Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday.

Starting to come together, good thing too cause my muscles hurt!! Sat around too much this winter! With these repairs and beautification, next winter will be busier! Looking for dwarf fruit trees, fruit bushes, saw a picture of a hanging basket with cucumbers trailing down and cucumbers were getting picked so I’ll be trying THAT! LOL 😆 I reckon I’ll have flowers in here too but I’m excited about growing food in here that I don’t have to fight the birds for.
