RJ loves racing, football, Ninja Warrior and WINNING. At 10 years old, Wes has raced for 2 years and was R3's first driver training client. Reggie Brown Jr. successfully coached Wes at WKA's Daytona Kartweek, employing many of the techniques that R3 SpeedFab will utilize for future driver clients. Lead Design/Build – Reggie Brown, SR – The OG. The Farmer, The Cobbler, The Master. From Cali karting to Missouri Dirt ovals, “SR” has been around and driven a thing or two and fixed them all in between. He’s the go to man to figure it out and get it done. You can find him in the shop, on the mower at or at the track! Team Administrator - Ryan Witt - Competitive Dad. Ryan grew up around kart and car racing with his Stepdad, who is still an active racer. We don't just check frames for squareness, we check it all. Axles, steering shafts, spindles, king pins, tie rods, you name it. If just one of these components are bent it will have an extremely negative impact on the overall performance of the chassis.

In this case the customer said the frame was likely bent. In digging in we discovered multiple issues that needed to be addressed. If you haven't looked at these items now is the time to check! Message us to get on the schedule and get lined out and trued up for 2023!

R3 is excited to formally announce our newest cadet driver - Paxton Cowden. He comes from a strong racing background and is already quite accomplished! We can't wait to work with him this season - he'll be racing L0206 at KCKA and Micro/Mini in regional series. His full bio follows - check out the Championships he's already earned!

At the age of 5 Paxton started competing in 50cc kid karts at SCCA sanctioned autocross events. That year he competed in 21 autocross events in Kansas City, Topeka, Salina and Lincoln, Nebraska. He won the 2019 SCCA Midwest Division championship for his class and received Rookie of the Year honors from the Salina Region SCCA.

In early June 2020 SCCA shut down the junior driver program and Paxton went racing with the Kansas City Karting Association. In 2020 he entered 5 races at Liberty and Garnett and gained valuable experience, bringing home second place finishes in a field of five at the last few races of the year.

At the start of 2021 there were only two kid kart entries at KCKA, so in June he stretched out and began competing also in the Ignite series at Gateway Kartplex in St Louis. There were sometimes as many as 12 karts in the kid kart class at Gateway which was great for driver development.

2021 was a great season for Paxton, as he entered 20 kid kart races and won 15 features. He raced and won at Liberty, MO, Garnett, KS, St Louis (Gateway) and Quincy, IL, and set multiple track records at Liberty and Garnett. He was the Ignite Kid Kart champion at Gateway in 2021 and was very honored to receive the overall Gateway Kartplex Rookie of the Year award.

In 2022 he raced in the 206 Cadet class with KCKA, finishing second in season points. He also ran some additional classes and events through the year including MiniSwift with KCKA, Ignite 206 Rookie at Gateway and 206 Cadet at Quincy.

For 2023 Paxton will be teaming with R3SpeedFab to race GFC karts in the 206 Cadet class at KCKA and Mini/MicroSwift and 206 classes at other events around the Midwest.

Couldn't tell you how many times I've watched this. An iconic track with an iconic driver in possibly my favorite car of all time. He was so smooth and relaxed for a guy who didn't race sports cars. Drivers take a note. Smooth is fast 😎

Teammates working together on ninja obstacle course skills. Upper body strength and coordination are key for steering karts around the track.

RJ was very patient as he tortured Wes doing bunny hops up the stairs. Undeterred, Wes has decided to join the local ninja club and workout with his race teammate!
