I lost a customer last year over $40. Best thing that ever happened to me.
Guy wanted a custom banner. I quoted him fair, he wanted me to knock $40 off. I said no. He walked.
I was heated about it for like a day. Then I realized something. I'd been undercharging for two years because I was scared to lose people exactly like him.
So I raised my prices. Not crazy, just to what the work was actually worth.
Lost a few more of those customers. But the ones who stayed valued what I do, and its the best my business has ever felt.
Cheap customers cost you the most. They take the most time, complain the loudest, and pay the least.
Charge what you're worth. The right people will pay it.
Ever been scared to raise your prices?
