π§π Small part, BIG responsibility!
Hereβs a behind-the-scenes look at steering column and clock spring work at Adams Mobile Service!
The clock spring sits behind the steering wheel and maintains the electrical connection to the driverβs airbag and horn while the wheel turns. Depending on the vehicle, it also connects the steering wheel controls. βοΈ
When this component fails, it can cause an airbag warning light, a horn that stops working, or unresponsive steering wheel buttons. Proper diagnosis matters because these symptoms can have more than one cause. π
πΈ These photos show the detailed work involved removing the steering wheel, accessing the clock spring and wiring, and putting everything back together. Correct alignment and careful handling are essential when working around airbag components.
πͺ From repairs under the hood to electrical work behind the wheel, we take pride in giving every job the attention it deserves.
