Dwyer's, family owned and in business since 1974. We repair all foreign and domestic makes and models to pre accident condition.

We work with all insurance companies, have highly trained sheet metal technicians, painters and state of the art equipment. Our professional staff can offer a number of services that make restoring or repairing your car easier; such as, towing, secure on site vehicle storage and assistance with your car rental needs.

Here’s where it all began in 1979. George and Georgia took over Dwyer’s from Georgia’s dad in 1995. But, George’s career in the auto body and paint industry began decades before that. After graduating high school, he began working for a dealership in New Orleans and came to realize he didn’t like the impersonal service that customers received. He thought that he could give customers the quality work AND the customer service experience they deserved. So, in 1979, he opened George’s Body Shop in New Orleans. Eventually, he sold his shop in New Orleans and moved to Slidell, where he met Georgia, and they took over Dwyer’s in 1995. George yields over FOUR DECADES of experience in the industry and says his passion actually began when he was around 8-9 years old. He’d play with his toy cars by smashing them and then repairing them repeatedly. George also enjoys restorations and the opportunity he has to take what is in a state of disrepair and make it beautiful again.

We’d love for you to get to know us, so we’re going to introduce you to one of our body men, Chris Harris. Chris has been with Dwyer’s for 10 years and in the auto body industry for 35 years! His passion for his work began when he was 15 years old in West Virginia, at his uncle’s auto repair business. Chris loves collision work and says he loves “seeing the fruits of his labor”. His desire to create pours over into his hobby of designing and making handmade fishing lures.

We thank Chris for his hard work and dedication over the last decade he has spent with us. Your vehicle is in great hands at Dwyer’s! We look forward to introducing you to the rest of our crew!
