Allied Lithium's EXPERT LITHIUM TIP:
"To extend the lifespan of your lithium battery, avoid entirely discharging it before recharging. It's best to recharge your battery when it reaches around 20-30% capacity, as frequent total discharges can shorten its lifespan. "

WHY? There is a direct relation between the depth of discharge (DoD) and the cycle life of the battery. The shallower the DoD, the exponentially higher the number of cycles given by a battery. By restricting the possible DoD of your battery, you can dramatically improve the cycle life of your lithium. Think of it like running a race...if you pace your breathing, you can go much further than just running until you're out of breath. Recharge quicker, Run longer!
