It is race day at the track! We are taking a break this week because we have been working on getting other stuff done like the new race trailer. It has the ceiling hung up and a coat of paint on the walls. It needs one more coat and some touch up than we can paint the floors, hang lights and install E-track. Once that is all done we can move everything over from the other trailer and be ready to rock and roll!

This weekend was rough trying to figure the car out. We were a little faster today but realistically had a 3rd-4th place car. We were running 3rd when 1 and 2 got spun together and Jaxon missed the carnage, 4th came in and plowed both cars. 4th now had a busted car so out of the race. This all happened with only 3 laps to go so Jaxon started the line up in 1st and was able to hold everyone off for the last 3 laps.

We had a pretty rough day at the track. Started off with Jaxon drawing 100 for position. In the heat we got tangled up and went to the back. After that the car was really slow. I found the brakes were not releasing. Got that fixed and started 9th in the main. We were fatser with the brakes free but the car was still slow and finished 7th. I set it on the table and started running through everything. At the moment I believe we have a clogged carburetor. We will regroup and race again tomorrow!

Jaxon was asked what he likes most about racing by a new red rookie tonight. Do you know what his answer was? It wasn't going fast, the adrenaline, the G force or anything like that. He looked at this younger kid and said the thing I like most about racing is making friends. He sat there and talked to this little kid for probably an hour.
