Race-Crafters Custom metal fabrication Welcome to the Hodges Racing Fabrication page. No job is to small!

My shop is designed to acheive any custom metal fabrication project that is desired. I have surrounded myself with the best tools and equipment to build your project right the first time to its maximum potential. I have been welding for over 10 years and have been involved in motorsports my whole life. I specialize in general welding (tig/mig of chromoly, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, ext.)

, complete chassis fabrication (dragsters/door cars/sprint cars/midgets/ ext.), waterjet cutting and sheet metal fabrication. The quality in my work is apparent from my welds to my custom waterjet parts. If you have a racecar or project you want built right, give me a call - I'd love to help

Another front clip in the books… we don’t do these very often but if we have the time between production jobs we will squeeze it in. This particular chassis was built with very thin wall tube (049,058,083) allowing it to flex more than normal with the thought of gaining a performance advantage, the problem is any sort of light contact can make for extensive damage… the driver had this car out for the first time, hit a rut at a bad angle causing him to flip…this flip was very light, light enough that normally you could get rolled back over and get going again… well not on this chassis… the lower frame rails were buckled over 8” and the entire front end was bent upwards about 6” 😳… took a little effort but things are straight again and about ready for assembly.

Super excited about the new bullet for our wing car. Thanks to Shark Racing Engines and for making this possible.

Back to our roots with this project. We took on some fabrication work on a top sportsman corvette drag car last week for the first time in years. Our team did a great job building and installing a new 3.5 gallon fuel cell, installing a new radiator and running new Brown and Miller light weight plumbing. Very happy with the result.

Super stoked on how our new to us 410 turned out… took months to build but all in all I’m happy with how it turned out. It started off as a simple frame repair which turned out not so simple, the chassis needed a rear clip… then a front clip… then body mount…. Then more tube replacement… ugh should of bought a new one but was in too deep at this point. Once the chassis was ready to start bolting on parts that’s when it started to get tough. Building these sprint cars are very simple, you open a catalog, purchase a part and bolt it on, no custom fab required…. So I thought! Turns out it’s not so simple… I think I bought every part about three times to make it right, yes the first time around could of worked but when your a perfectionist could of is not good quite enough. For example I bought a ti bolt kit (not cheap fyi), contains every nut/bolt for the car and plug and play right? Nope! Most of the bolts need trimming 🙄. Any how, she’s the best she will look and ready to go sling some dirt!
