We did something a little different for Halloween this year! 👻
Channel Islands 4x4 Club hosted a Trunk or Treat up at the Simi Valley Town Center for a couple of hours — and then hit the road to cruise through some of the spookiest neighborhoods in town! 🚙💨

The route ended up being way longer than I planned (note to self: tweak that for next year 😅), but it was such a blast seeing familiar faces, hearing everyone cheering, and watching both kids and adults light up as we rolled through.

Not gonna lie… favorite moment was people actually standing up and applauding as we came through! 👏🙌
Unfortunately, I didn’t get any photos of the drive since I was the official navigator (and let’s just say Google Maps totally ghosted me last night 👻😂).

Huge thank you to Nacho Ics Lopez for dreaming this up and organizing everything at the mall — and Lynn Lopez for helping map out those awesome stops!

Till next year… same time, same spooky spirit! 🕸️🎃

As most of you have seen our dear friend and brother on the trails,
Scott Cohen passed away last night. Scott wasn’t just a moderator of this club — he was its heartbeat. He poured himself into planning our 4xNights, welcoming new members, and creating a place where strangers became friends and friends became family. Time and again we heard, “Scott referred me.” That was his gift — he had a way of drawing people in, making everyone feel seen, valued, and part of something bigger.
After years of being with us, Scott finally put club stickers on his Jeep — the only ones he ever ran. That simple act spoke volumes. It showed the pride he carried for this club and the community he helped build.
Scott’s kindness, his laughter, and his presence will leave an emptiness that cannot be filled. Our trails, our meetups, and our memories will never be the same without him.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Annika, and his cherished daughter, Adrianna. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate a world without the husband and father they adored.
Rest in peace, Scott. We’ll carry you with us on every trail, in every gathering, and in every mile ahead.
