Debated posting this for awhile cause there's always criticism. We aren't a body shop- but this customer didn't want to pay body shop prices. With a mark down to bare metal and a gnarly dent, we did the best we could. Sanded it down to bare metal and re sprayed it. Prime, sand, prime, sand, color, sand, color, sand, color, sand, clear, sand, clear, sand, clear, sand, sand, sand, cut and polish.
Its not a perfect fix. Ideally we would have blended out the whole panel. The paint also wasn't a perfect match and we might be looking for a new touch up supplier after this. There's definitely a visible difference. Fogged it out best we could. Got some nasty orange peel. But at the end of the day, customer got a same day service for less than $600. And a decent 15 foot or so paint job 🤷🏼♂️
I don't wanna hear about our newspaper masking system it worked fine. We used plastic later for fogging. 🫡
