I often see a homeless veteran holding a sign asking for money or a job while driving, and it doesn't make sense to me. How can someone who fought for our freedom be left to figure it out on their own? Sometimes they lack a support system or family. Many of these veterans suffer from a mental illness that makes it even more challenging for them.
Bringing a positive impact to the world is one of the best parts of what I do. With Triple S Mobility Veterans can get into an accessible wheelchair van with little or no cost to them. We grind, twist and pull until the job gets done at the VA hospital. It is such a great opportunity to make a difference in these veterans' lives who have given us so much to be grateful for. OUR FREEDOM!
A communist regime oppressed Cuban freedom of speech, which caused my parents to flee the country. My parents waited in line for their food rations for hours. The veterans on the street asking for food or for a job gave you freedom so that we don't have to live under a communist regime. How will you return the favor?
