HARDIN...WESTERN ORANGE AND SOUTH CENTRAL JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH
1015 AM CDT...

At 942 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Wildwood to 9 miles northeast of High Island.
Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland, Lumberton, Vidor, Silsbee, Kountze,
Sour Lake, Nome, Evadale, Central Gardens, Hamshire, Fred, Wildwood,
Bevil Oaks, China, Rose City, Pine Forest, Lakeview, and Weiss Bluff.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

THROUGH 330 PM CDT...

At 301 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Thicket, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Kountze, Saratoga, Thicket, Batson, Village Mills, and Honey Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Update: electric technicians are at the property and working on the down power pole, we are very hopefully that power will be restored soon! Please be careful going in or out of the property right now while they are working as there is not a lot of road room to pass by them

Update: estimated restoration time is still 10 PM but there are technicians in our area trying to get power back to us as well as those surrounding us that were affected by the storm last night. Still hoping for power before 10 pm but that is the current information for now
