Well… apparently we need to clear something up. 😂
We weren’t planning on addressing Facebook rumors while we’re supposed to be enjoying a few days away from the shop, but since a post is now circulating claiming that the Benton County Sheriff’s Office “shut down” Combs Tire & Auto, we’d rather our customers hear the facts directly from us.
No law enforcement agency shut down Combs Tire & Auto.
We closed the shop ourselves.
Our closure from August 13th–18th was planned, our customers were notified, and a closure notice was posted before we left.
We will REOPEN AUGUST 19TH, exactly as originally announced.
Yes, there are pending legal matters involving the business. Because they are pending legal matters, we aren’t going to litigate them in a Facebook comment section.
We are aware that portions of court filings are currently being posted online alongside accusations about Logan and the business. Something being alleged in a lawsuit does not make the allegation an established fact, and we aren’t going to respond to individual allegations while those matters are being handled through the appropriate legal channels.
As far as the bankruptcy everyone seems fascinated by - yes, a bankruptcy was filed. Bankruptcy is a legal process. It is not synonymous with a business being “shut down,” and it certainly does not mean the Benton County Sheriff’s Office arrived and closed our doors.
They didn’t.
We went on vacation, y’all. 😂
That’s the big mystery.
We understand people are curious. What we don’t appreciate is speculation being repeated as fact when a phone call, message, or even looking at the closure notice we already posted could have answered the question.
We’re not interested in a Facebook war. We’re interested in running our business, taking care of our customers, and allowing our attorneys to handle legal matters where they belong.
