Customer states: my radio doesn't seem to want to stay on. When I go over bumps it turns off but after a bit comes back.

Cause: found the pins that plug into the back of the radio harness, that plugs into the radio loose.

Correction: after looking for pins locally and being unable to find them the option that best fit the customers need on his 08 Silverado was to make the pins a bit oblong so they stayed put. We made sure the pins were tight and test drove over a bumpy road. We found no more issues at this time.

Customer states: I was told my valve cover is leaking, can you verify this?

We told the customer the best option would be to clean the area well and add oil dye and the customer told us he is due for an oil change. We asked if he wanted us to do this also and he agreed.

Cause: oil like substance with dirt/dust accumulated on it under the valve cover. Routine maintenance.

Correction: we inspected the area and confirmed the areas that were dirty and cleaned them with engine degreaser thoroughly. Made sure all was clean and then drained the oil and changed the oil filter. Afterwards we added the oil dye then the oil to the system. Verified correct oil level and took the vehicle back to the customer. All ok at this time.

Over the past several years we have been using a software that had aided us in making quotes that are easy to understand, formulate, and send out so you, as our customer, can track exactly what is going on. It allowed us to view wire diagrams, torque specs, and other critical parts of working on vehicles.

It is with much thought that today after this company kept messing up that we had to fire them. We understand that this may cause some confusion, or delayed quotes and we sincerely apologize for any delays or confusion this may take/create while we search for another program to use that fits our, and your needs. Customer states: i have a semi, and it's pouring coolant. Can you help me everyone is either closed or can't get to it because of the holiday.

Cause: we found coolant recovery tank cracked and dumping fluid

Correction: we managed to find a coolant reservoir and installed a new one. Filled the system back up with coolant and made sure it held. All ok at this time.

Customer states: can you do my brakes? I can't get the calipers off

Cause: caliper bolts seized in place.

Correction: after arriving on site we lifted the vehicle and began working on replacing the brake pads. We fought for a bit with the front calipers but did manage to get them off. Replaced the brakes all around, all ok at this time.

Customer states: the voltage regulator in the alternator we installed a couple of years ago has gone out and we need it replaced again.

Cause: bad voltage regulator

The customer couldn't wait for us to come to him so he went ahead and swapped out the alternator but left off some of the final parts and couldn't get them back on so he asked us to.

Correction: we finished putting back together the vehicle and made sure it was running before we left. All ok at this time.

Correction: we performed the oil change and tire rotation, looked over the rest of the vehicle and found all ok at this time.

Customer states: I need an oil change, I'm a few hundred miles over.

Cause: routine maintenance

Correction: we did the oil change as requested and during the oil change we checked the normal components and found the air filter was quite dirty. We recommended replacement and they agreed. R&R engine air filter. All ok at this time.

Customer states: I'm going to be going on a trip and need my vehicle gone over to make sure it's safe. Can you look it over and check the rear brakes? I think they're drums.

Cause: trip safety

Correction: we checked the vehicle over well and found nothing really wrong, for it being around 20 years old it's in remarkable shape. The brake pads were about the only thing we found slightly low and informed the customer with a photo but said they could probably wait til they get back from their trip. All ok at this time.
