If only this cart could tell you story…since it can’t, I will.
Meet Frankenstein(Frankie.) Frankie started out as a 1996 EZGO TXT that was a 36 volt cart. A customer brought it to us and wanted to do a lithium conversion. We did about 13 months ago but as soon as they took the cart home, it wouldn’t run. Went and checked it out and seemed to be just fine. Still wouldn’t work after a few days so we brought it back to the shop and changed every electrical component except the controller-the most expensive part. Customer even took to an EZGO dealer in Denver and it worked fine until he went to pick it up. Tired and fed up with it and knowing that the EZGO platform has some aftermarket kits, we offered a trade, and here’s where the story gets good. Traded him a 1994 EZGO gasser that was my best friends growing up and had been sitting in his parents garage for 8 years. Quick lil tune up and a new battery and it was a great cart.
With the “fresh” trade in, I had a 36v lithium that was brand new. Decided to put that in the original golf cart that my dad and I bought back in 2010. Our 1995 Yamaha G16.
Lane never lets me throw anything away 😂 and so I had a 2018 TxT body from the Rose Gold giveaway from last year and with a few modifications, it fit on the 1996 frame. That 2018 was actually my Uncle Kevin’s golf cart before he traded in and upgraded to an RXV.
Frankie really is a full circle golf cart and just shows that we can build anything with parts laying around.
Still need to touch up a few things and modify a few things, but couldn’t wait to share the story on Frankie.

🎨(coolest part) Paint is a color shifting Red to Black. First time we’ve ever sprayed something like this and it’s pretty crazy how it’s red for one second and you move a few inches and then it’s black. Have to see in person to believe it!
