Well it is similar with the mechanical way it works, but I use other safer and Echo friendly medias. Sand and some other medias have a "Free Silica" in the dust that is known to cause health defects. ut blasting it works great cleaning the soft sub surface of many different projects. I have equipment to blast "Baking Soda" and or "Recycled Crushed Glass", another Echo friendly blast media. G. is recycled bottles that were brought to the dumps. They crush the glass to different grit sizes and bag it and sell it as Media. When it was made into glass it destroyed the negative free silica . I use the R. for the projects that need a more aggressive media to do the work necessary. "does" gently etch metal. Depending on the size R. grit I use determine how course the etch is. The Painters like the etch because it makes their paint bond best. We been working for a number of Auto Restoration shops all over Long Island, Boat yards, Swimming pool contractors, Building contractors, Private projects and so on. We remove paint, rust, glues, and coating of all kinds. We clean most all sub surfaces wood, brick, stone, concrete, fiberglass, plastic, and so on. WE clean, stone patios, boat bottom paint, old cars, graffiti on buildings, small pieces & parts, We can clean glass and chrome without damage to either. We can come to you set up a containment tent bring in your project blast it and clean up and leave as though we were not even there. Or we have a place that we can take most projects to clean.
