Fishing licenses, permits and gift vouchers for the 2026 fishing season are now available for purchase from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. The cost remains the same at $27.97 for a resident annual license and $14.47 for a senior resident annual license.

Make your purchase at www.huntfish.pa.gov, through the FishBoatPA mobile app or by visiting one of nearly 700 retail license issuing agents.

And be sure to mark your 2026 calendars for the statewide opening day of trout season on Saturday, April 4, and statewide Mentored Youth Trout Day on Saturday, March 28.

Spring Ahead: Turn Clocks Ahead One Hour This Weekend

Daylight saving time will begin on Sunday, March 9, at 2 a.m. Be sure to turn your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night before going to bed.

This is also a good time to check and/or change batteries in both smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms. It is also recommended the alarms be replaced every 10 years.

Fish-for-Free Days | Sunday, May 26, 2024 and Thursday, July 4, 2024

Fish-for-Free Days allow anyone (resident or non-resident) ​to legally fish on Pennsylvania waterways on the designated days with NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED (Trout/Salmon and Lake Erie permits are also NOT required). All other fishing regulat​ions still apply.​

Stop into our office Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday from 8 to 4 - Thursday or Friday from 8 to 6 or Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.

We also sell fishing license, renew registrations, renew driver license.

If you get a letter from PennDot, call or come see us before you do anything. We can help with driver license or vehicle registration suspensions.
