50 years. It’s hard to put into words what that really means.
Today we celebrated Ron’s Road to 50 — 50 years since our dad started what would eventually become our family business at Kuhn Truck and RV.
Before what you see today, there was just a young guy named Ron who decided to take a chance at the American Dream in the bicentennial year.
From R&K Motors, to Twin Rivers Auto Sales, to Ron Kuhn Sales & Service, and now Kuhn Truck and RV, a lot has changed over the years.
Different signs. Different names. Different buildings. A whole lot of different vehicles.
But the things that mattered never changed.
Work hard. Treat customers right. Build something you can be proud of. Take good care of your people, and they’ll take good care of you.
Those are the lessons Dad taught us long before he handed us the keys.
This video started as a collection of old pictures, newspaper ads, and memories — including a surprise 40th birthday party, some unforgettable moments, and a few chapters we’re thankful made it into the history books instead of becoming the end of the story.
Looking back through all of this reminded us of just how many people have been part of the ride. Employees, customers, friends, family, and a community that has supported this business for five decades.
Dad, thank you for the sacrifices, the example, and the foundation you built. We are blessed to continue the journey you started. Here’s to the 50 years!
And knowing our dad…he’s probably still going to show up tomorrow to make sure we’re doing it right.
And, we’ll always be glad to have him.
