AUTOHAUS TOWING & RECOVERY IS NOW HIRING FOR TOW OPERATORS – LIGHT AND HEAVY DUTY
We are currently seeking Full Time Tow Truck Operators. We work accidents for State, Local and Washington County Police. We tow all types of disabled vehicles from motorcycles and cars all the way to tractor/trailers, buses and RV’s. We also have multiple service accounts for Light, Medium & Heavy-Duty Tows. We are a Backup Service Provider for AAA, Geico, etc. When complicated issues arise, our team is just a phone call away to assist.
Requirements:
**MUST Live in Sherwood, Tigard, Tualatin, Beaverton area.
**Must be at LEAST 23 years old for consideration Due to Insurance Guidelines.
-Driver’s License **clean driving record MUST**. No More Than 1 Ticket.
-Required to pass pre-employment & random drug testing.
-Required to pass Police background check – NO felony convictions.
-MUST be able to park tow truck vehicle at residence.
-Must have, or willing to get, Medical card to travel into Washington & other states
-Local & Long-Distance Tows (Knowledge of Area).
-Must be able to drive stick shift
-Able to lift 70 lbs. when using dollies.
-High school or equivalent.
-Must be available for on-call overnight and weekend work.
**Please understand this is a 24/7 business that operates in all weather conditions to include extreme heat, rain, sleet, snow, hail etc**
Qualifications and Skills
-Reliable ability to judge and decide with soundness, prudence, and intelligence.
-Works independently with minimal supervision and works well with others in team settings.
-Communicates Effectively employing tactful, professional speech and correspondence.
-Basic math skills to total invoices
-Operate a GPS Navigation Device
-Knowledge of Service Geographic Areas.
-Tow Operators must possess a positive attitude and attentiveness at ALL times.
-TOWING experience not required. Towing and Recovery Training will be provided in house.
Responsibilities and Duties (included, but not limited to):
-Effectively communicating with Dispatch
-Reporting to police calls in a timely matter - State and Local Police Tows
-Perform roadside assistance (change tires, jump-starts, lockouts).
-Assisting owner, insurance adjusters, or PD with access to vehicle(s).
-Daily inspections of all trucks to conduct Preventive Maintenance pre-trips on unit -prior to shift START!
-Detail trucks twice a week to ensure truck remains free of debris and cleaned daily.
Uniforms are provided at no cost to our drivers.
Pay – Commission
Paid vacation after 1 year
Medical offered after 90 days. Employee only. AutoHaus pays ½ employee premium
