🌅 GOOD MORNING, TEXOMA!

I got to take it a little slower this morning. Josh opened the shop up for me so I could get a little extra rest… or maybe just enjoy being the owner for once. 😂

I told him, “Get me a good picture of the sunrise for our morning post — and make sure YOU’RE in it so I can brag on my crew.”

This is the damn picture he sends me. 😂😂

Apparently we still gotta work on the photography skills… but I’ll tell you what, it’s a pretty damn good feeling knowing I’ve got guys I can trust to open the doors and get things rolling without me standing there.

Proud of my crew. Seriously. 💪

I came across this picture from 2008 this morning and it hit me a little harder than I expected. ❤️

That’s Grandpa holding my daughter inside Moss Tire. She was just a baby, and he was right where I remember him best — at the tire shop with that Moss Tire hat on and a smile on his face.

A lot has changed since this picture was taken. My daughter grew up. Grandpa is gone. And somehow, all these years later, I’m walking into this same place every morning trying to keep what he spent 35 years building going.

Some mornings it’s easy to get caught up in the customers, tires, bills, employees and everything else that comes with running a business. Then I see a picture like this and remember why this place means so much more to me than just a tire shop.

I sure miss you, Grandpa.

I hope I’m making you proud and taking care of the name you worked so hard to build. ❤️

Had a customer come in today and purchase a set of 4 new tires, and before he left he handed me a bottle of honey from his own local beekeeping operation.

He came in to support our small business, and then turned around and shared a little piece of his with us. That means a lot.

Small businesses supporting small businesses. Neighbors supporting neighbors. That’s how it’s supposed to be. 🇺🇸
