ANNOUNCEMENT:
There has been some really massive changes going on since the beginning of the year personally and professionally. Because of these massive life changes I have decided to permanently close and dissolve Route 6 Mobile RV Service. We have settled in a permanent location and had to make a choice. I am not leaving the industry, I am just joining forces with an already established RV repair facility in the location that I am in. The choice was easier than it seems but I will benefit greatly from this decision. I am closing it down to focus more on being an RV technician and less of a business owner. Also by having the company remain open will be a conflict of interest with my new endeavor. I really appreciate all the support from the RV community and from the customers themselves that entrusted me with their issues and were able to resolve and educate and get you guys back on the road. Thank you all so much. Route 6 Mobile RV Service signing off and Careful on The Roads.

Thanks everyone for all the support this year. I’ve made a lot of changes and I think I found my stride moving forward. I love keeping the RV Community rolling and if anyone ever needs information, guidance, or services feel free to reach out any time. Looking forward to making 2026 better than last year. Careful on the Roads!

Hello everyone. I had 2 more skirting jobs in the last few weeks and thought I'd share. One was a large travel trailer with 3 slide outs and the other was a smaller Class A with one long slide out. Its been getting trickier with the cold weather freezing all of my adhesives but I've been making it work and Daylight Savings still throws a monkey wrench when the sun goes down at 4:15 but these people are happy and warm in there rigs and have already noticed a significant difference in inside temps, compartment temps and propane usage. There is still a lot of cold weather coming and it's not too late to get warmer. I'm currently in Steamboat Springs Co and because of road closures and winter weather I'm down to about a 50ish mile radius of Steamboat for any installations. Something to think about, I will be in this area until the final weeks of March so if you want to get ahead for next winter season or if you're going to be in the real hot south for the summer(skirting works well with high heat), then perhaps think about scheduling something towards the end of the season when the roads open up a little and I can go farther. If there are any other RV repairs, questions, concerns, and/or maintenance that is needed, feel free to reach out to me through the usual channels.

Finished my first solo Skirting job last weekend on a Class A motorhome that is staying at the campground that I'm at for the winter. It was challenging to complete but it was a very intense learning experience to take everything I learned in training 2 months ago and make it work for this RV. When I come to your site, I custom fit every insulated vinyl panel based on how your RV is setup. With sewer hoses, stairs, ladders, lights, compartments, exhausts, appliances etc, each panel has to overlap and fit to keep as much cold air out and warm air in. I really enjoyed the experience and I have 3 more jobs lined up in the next 2 weeks. I am currently servicing Steamboat Springs CO and surrounding areas. I am traveling pretty far to accommodate as best I can but once the snow comes I will be limited in my travel radius so if you are interested please reach out and I can email you a no obligation free estimate on your unit and we can see if skirting can work for you. Not only is it great for winter to keep you cozy and warm but it also works in extreme heat and keeps the cool air under your unit and the warm air out. You can use the same insulation tactics in winter for the summer. If you are interested in learning more about skirting or have any questions feel free to reach out to me.

Hello Everyone!! New Service Area Location Update. Starting 10/20/25 until end of March 2026 I will be servicing Steamboat Springs Colorado and surrounding areas. Roughly a 50 mile radius for repairs and up to 150 miles for Custom RV Skirting. I know it's Colorado during the winter, but for full time all season campers there are still crucial elements to an RV that breakdown that will affect your comfort and your wallet. Feel free to reach out if you need anything or if you want to get a no obligation free estimate for Custom RV skirting.

I've been waiting to make this announcement for months and the time has finally arrived.
NEW SERVICES AVAILABLE:
Custom RV Skirting with materials provided by the The Skirting Company. I am now a Certified 3rd party Installer for The Skirting Company. I recently completed my training and am able to provide this service wherever my service area covers. It is custom built on site by me based on year make and model of your unit. This is great for winter camping, extended season camping and also for summer camping in the south. This will help with heat and cold all year round. If you are interested in getting your RV skirted or just need more information you can check out their website: www.theskirtingco.com or you can contact me directly: [email protected] 866-840-3233 or post on my page. The picture below is my personal RV that I skirted during training and will be taking full advantage of it as we spend the winter in Steamboat Springs CO. Let me know if you have any questions and feel free to reach out to me directly or visit their site. Thanks for all the support and Careful on the roads!

My time in Sheridan Wyoming and surrounding areas is drawing to a close in less than 2 weeks. My last day of available work will be Wednesday 9/17/25. Thank you for all the support this summer while I was in the area. The training that was mentioned in my last post is still happening and approaching quickly. Once that is completed I will announce the changes and they will show on the FB page and the website. Following that I will be in the East Stroudsburg, Pa and NJ area with services being available from 9/29-10/9 for any last minute end of season maintenance, repairs and winterizations. At the time of my last post we did not know where we are going to be spending winter. It is official now that we will be spending October-March/April in Steamboat Springs CO. I will keep everyone updated on available services, any changes to service area, or any of other relevant changes as we travel and settle for the winter. I appreciate all the support and the follows and if anyone needs anything, even if its guidance over the phone or questions that need answering, feel free to reach out to me any time while I'm anywhere. Hit up the usual spots.

I know it's been a while since I posted anything. I've actually been busy with the business and the part time job where we are for the summer in Sheridan. Just an update, my last week of work is going to be 9/8-9/13. The following week will be finishing up the part time job and getting ready to head east for some training that I will announce once that it completed. I will be offering early winterizations and other end of season maintenance for that week if anyone is in the Sheridan/Buffalo Wyoming area until those dates. Also will be offering any last minute repairs and services. The closer we get to my leaving time, I won't be able to order any parts so if there are repairs needed that require parts, let me know ASAP. I've really enjoyed working in this area this summer and I will post an update of where we will be for the winter. I will also update my website with changes in services and new location of service area. I have some much needed family time and events as well as training in between service locations. I will keep you all posted as I go. Hit me up if you need anything or have questions.

I was a little apprehensive going into this job today. I have replaced tank water heaters with tank water heaters and tankless water heaters with tankless water heaters but never tank water heater with a tankless water heater. I didnt know the layout of the unit so I wasn't sure about access or if it was going to be impossible to do what I needed to do. In my head I thought the electrical part was going to be hard because I had to run the cable from the wall mounted control board to the unit but that ended up being the easier part. So in trying not to get overwhelmed I broke the repair down into 4 separate parts. 1. Remove the old tank water heater and inspect the area and make sure the tankless water heater will fit. 2. Electrical hook up with power and the wall mounted control board. 3. Propane. 4. Plumbing. It took about an hour to get the old tank out just because it was in there for so long. The unit was under the sink and cupboard so there was a lot of room to work. The control panel I put on the side of the cupboard so I didn't have to drill into counter tops or fish wires through the wall so that was easy. Propane was a copper line so I just bent that to where I needed. The plumbing had to be completely rebuilt. Below in the picture I had to cut out the bypass valves and pipes because they didnt line up at all and I had to account for the sink connections which are the white hoses hanging from above. So I used parts of the bypass kit to rebuild everything and lo and behold, I made it happen. With one faux pas of missing a shark bite connection and spraying a little bit of water from one side of the T connection but easily fixed. Turned on water pump and pressurized. Everything works as intended. No leaks, water or propane, and the customer has hot water for the season. I really enjoyed this project and I feel really proud of myself for visiting outside my comfort zone and make a good pay check with this. I did everything in 4 hours total 5 hours with customer interactions and payments and stuff. Either way, I think I am confident enough to add those to my list of services and maybe at some point there I'll be one more challenging and I'll be able to give that a shot. Yes, there was a peacock. His name is Finnegan. He came over, we made eye contact at me he screamed in peacock and then went on his way. Did not display plumage so I guess I was accepted as not being a threat and continued my day. Have a few easier jobs this week so that'll be a welcome relief. I'll be in Sheridan Wyoming until September if anybody needs anything passing through. Thanks for all the support and Careful on the roads.
