It was running a solid pass until suddenly it wasn’t!

The truck was doing exactly what it was supposed to do all weekend at the 72 Fast Race in Ennis,Texas. Then out of no where, the transfer case explodes! We’ll be rebuilt and back even faster next time!

Tag along as we tear into our bolt-together converter.

We use a bolt-together converter in our 48RE transmission in our race truck. We use this style of converter for easy disassembly and inspection. With as much abuse as this thing takes, being able to easily service it is a huge advantage!

After plenty of hard passes, it’s time to see what’s going on inside and make sure everything is holding up like it should. We’ll tear it down, inspect the internals, check for any signs of wear or damage, and get it ready for the next round of abuse.

We only recommend the best products for your diesel whether it’s a higher horsepower build or your work truck!

We’re home and back to normal scheduling at the shop!

We want to give a huge thank you to the guys at Firepunk Diesel and all of the sponsors who stepped up to put on the 72Fast $100,000 to win race. An event and payout like that doesn’t happen without a ton of work and support behind the scenes, and we’re grateful we got the opportunity to be a part of it.

Our trip didn’t end the way we hoped after a transfer case failure took us out, but that’s racing! There is no doubt in my mind we had a very competitive truck but parts fail unfortunately.

Now it’s time to get the truck put back together, dialed back in, and get back to having some fun with it locally both at the track and on the street.

Thank you again to everyone who made 72Fast happen and congrats to Matthew Parker for back to back wins!
