In 2026, DRIVE One is taking a backseat at "America's Greatest Hot Rod Show" to the legend who started it all.
The weekend of February 27th, we'll be celebrating the life and legacy of Paul Tregembo Sr. by entering the hot rod that best personified him into the very competition he turned into a platform for his students.
Senior's "Teacher's Pet", his 1941 Willys Gaser, will return to the Detroit Autorama in a special display honoring his 60 years of teaching, the 90+ project vehicles his programs built, and the hundreds of lives he reshaped across several districts.
DRIVE One Students are hard at work getting the Willys ready, and we're anxious to both unveil our display and celebrate a teacher like no other later this month.

DRIVE ONE TechCenter is featured in the Macomb Daily today. This organization is one of the local nonprofits that Rick’s Tire and Wheel are proud to help.

A group of young DRIVE One students spent three years building a stock car from a Ford Focus and took it to the track notching a sixth-place finish.

Join Us this Saturday Night @ Owosso Speedway for the sports compact debut of the #1 Roy O'Brien-DRIVE One TechCenter Ford. For the first time, DRIVE One students will both pit and race a program-built car on the "Big O". Tickets are $15, and students 15 and under are FREE. Grandstands Open at 2pm, Racing Starts at 6, featuring the local Sports Compact and Pure Stocks, plus two 410-Sprint Car features.

This Labor Day Weekend, spend your last (unofficial) Saturday Night of summer with DRIVE One for a "Night At The Races" at Owosso Speedway.
On August 31st, catch not one, not two, but THREE student-built projects take to the track as the #1 and #11 Sprint Cars return to "The BIG O" with the @ Must See Racing Lights. Plus, additional MustSeeRacing 410 action, along with Sports Compact, Pure Stock, Truck, and Dwarf Car features.
Racing Action starts at 6pm. Tickets are just $14, $12 for seniors, and students under 20 get in FREE.
Don't miss a double-header night of racing under the lights this Saturday at Owosso Speedway.
