In an effort to reduce traffic crashes, the Sheboygan Police Department will be paying extra attention to stop sign violations this month. Specifically, we will be looking for the “Sheboygan Roll.” One would think we are looking for that delicious crusted hard roll. No; we are looking for another kind. You know, drivers who are not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign - known as “the Sheboygan Roll.” Stopping completely at stops signs prevent unnecessary accidents. Please be aware of stop lines and come to a complete stop at an intersection. Before you start through an intersection, check for cross traffic.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

Under a new law, teens may now apply for their Instruction Permit at a Wisconsin DMV when they are 15 years old. They must also practice additional hours before getting their license beginning at age 16. With the ongoing effects of COVID-19 we hope everyone is staying healthy and safe! Since we cannot do in class at this time I just wanted to remind everyone we do offer online classroom for drivers education. The online consists of 30 hours, 60 - 30 minute sessions. After student completes the online they can take their instruction permit test at the DMV. Once they receive their permit they do behind-the-wheels with Badger Driving School. If you are interested in online please contact us. For those signed up for the summer sessions I will contact you if they are cancelled - if so we will set you up with online. Thank you

To our current behind-the-wheel students:

Badger Driving School values the safety of our students and takes seriously the responsibility to limit the spread of COVID-19. No in-person classroom sessions are scheduled throughout spring. Behind-the-Wheel sessions will continue at this time. We evaluate current conditions and reserve the right to cancel sessions at any time if it is in the best interest of our students, business, and community.

Per WPDSA recommendations, Badger Driving School will conduct lessons with driver and single student only. There will be no observation.

Be assured, Badger Driving school thoroughly cleans and disinfects the vehicle after each in-car lesson.

IMPORTANT: Students, or students of family members, that have or have had a fever, sore throat, excessive sneezing or coughing in the past 14 days should NOT attend the in-car lesson. Should this be the case, please contact us ahead of your lesson to cancel. Badger Driving School will work with you to reschedule your session.

I am thankful for the 20 years of patronage from Sheboygan and the surrounding communities. Together we can keep our community strong.

Thank you,
John Matuschka, Owner
