I typically don’t include rehearsal shots, but this one needed it.

The weather change from rehearsal to ceremony was the perfect visual to how this couple has made it 14 years.

These two took a date that had a big, gnarly cloud hanging over it, found the slivery of sun and grabbed the opportunity to infuse positivity into it. When the cloud returned and tried to take over the date again, the said “hold our beer” and got married on it.

It was such an honor to make this family officially official.

I’m a fan of small businesses, and this new coffee -chocolate-gelato shop is one of my new favorite places in Cedarburg.

DC Choffee House on Columbia Road in Cedarburg is family run, warm and inviting, and the thoughtful touches, like a sprig of microgreen in your water, make it feel upscale without the stuffiness.

The first time I went I tried a small piece of both milk and dark chocolate. They have tens of thousands of molds and can do custom orders. They were actually working on a large custom piece for a couple getting married and were eager to show me!

The next time I brought my 8 year old to try some gelato. She has literally been begging me to take her back every day since. 😂

Finally…Monday I met my friend for coffee. I enjoyed a cappuccino and she had a custom blend of tea. Both were incredible!

Pop in there when you get a chance! Custom chocolate pieces would make for a great sweet treat on your tables at your wedding.

When you believe that the universe provides the opportunities for two people to find each other, sometimes the universe lets you know that it's listening.

During this lovely autumn wedding, a dragonfly landed on the bride during the ceremony, matching her dragonfly tattoo. ❤️

This couple knows how to love each other, and how to show the universe that love. The groom has been giving his bride flowers for years, which she lovingly dried and saved. Their "flower grandmas" used those dried petals to line the aisle the bride walked down!

Their day was visual poetry - crisp air, a soft breeze, a gorgeous sun - the perfect day for the bride and groom.

Anyway, Desiree was able to help plan her brother’s wedding that took place recently, with Stacey’s assistance. Conveniently, Stacey is family too. 😆

Color really does set the tone for any event. Think about this - you walk into an event and everyone is wearing black. You know you’ve either just walked into a fancy soirée or a funeral. But you also know that this is a serious event - there most likely won’t be a balloon lady and a juggler.

When you walk into a brightly colored event you feel like you’re ready to celebrate! Pops of yellow, orange, blue, and pink say “we’re here for a good time!”

And when you walk into a room full of rich jewel tones, you can almost feel the elegant moodiness in the air.

I’ve spent a lot of time over the season thanking and congratulating couples, which will never stop.

But today, I spent my morning with 7 people who deserve a public show of gratitude.

I listened to them tell stories of weddings they had each done, some together, some on their own. I heard laughter and joy coming from people who may have never met had it not been for Truly Yours Weddings.

But - and this is important - Truly Yours Weddings would not be thriving today without these people. Some have stepped in as a favor and stayed on. Some have been with me for years. Some may have even joined out of obligation and realized they loved being part of someone’s wedding day anyway.

But as I watched these people reminisce and get to know each other more, I couldn’t help but think that I am just so damn grateful for each and every one of them.

Aaron, Stacey, Chuck, Merissa, Tabitha, Claire, and Desiree…thank you for being part of the team and bringing all your unique talents and strengths to Truly Yours Weddings.

(And also thank you for showing up this morning for pics. Sorry about your muddy feet. 😘)
