Terry Mattox Named Promoter and Competition Director for Outlaw Motorsports!
SHAWNEE, Okla. (February 26, 2026) - Terry Mattox has been named new promoter and competition director for Outlaw Motorsports for the upcoming indoor season.
Mattox, the founder of the National Open Wheel 600 Series and current promoter of I-44 Speedway in Oklahoma City, is set to lead the charge at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center in November.
“I raced karts growing up over at 3D and Cody Creek.” said, Mattox. “I had an indoor series in Kellyville, that I ran for a few years as well. Karts are definitely something I’ve been around.”
“We have a lot of up and comers coming from karts to micros and thought it would be a good opportunity to get involved. I can’t thank Kirk and Cheri enough for the opportunity to let me run this deal.” commented, Mattox.
Kirk will only be involved with the building of the track and track maintenance throughout the weekend. All other day to day, race day operations, and questions / concerns will be handled by Terry.
The 2026-2027 season will begin on November 13-14. Full schedule, classes, and rules will be posted in the next few days.
