From the Workhorse factory to the road: Our dealer partners are putting the finishing touches on this W56. Great to see the upfit process in action!

Workhorse joined Range Zero Emissions for the WAZIP Ride & Drive at Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington on September 21.

The event gave fleet operators the opportunity to experience and test drive zero-emission commercial vehicles on a 2.25-mile course, including our flagship W56 Step Van!

The event was a chance to move the conversation about fleet electrification and qualifying WAZIP vehicles to real-world driving experience.

Thank you to everyone who came out to learn more about available WAZIP funding and zero-emission vehicle options.

Long routes. Tight schedules. Stop after stop. Delivery drivers put in the miles every day to keep goods moving and businesses running.

We see that work firsthand through Stables by Workhorse, where our own drivers run delivery routes in Ohio every day.

Today, we’re saying thank you to them — and to delivery drivers everywhere!

We’ve crossed 20 million electric miles—and we’re putting those learnings to work.

CleanTechnica sat down with our CEO Scott Griffith to talk about what that experience means for fleets today, including battery life cycles and why medium-duty is the practical path to electrification.

Workhorse vehicles have officially crossed 20 million cumulative miles on the road!

This milestone reflects more than distance traveled. It reflects years of real-world use by fleets that rely on our trucks, buses, and shuttles to get the job done every day.

Those miles also generate valuable insights. Alongside feedback from customers, our team gathers operational data through Stables by Workhorse, a FedEx Ground Independent Service Provider operating a mixed fleet of electric and internal combustion step vans year-round in Ohio.

The lessons from both customer fleets and Stables are shaping the design and engineering of our 7th generation platform—a modular, software-defined vehicle architecture built with scalable, interchangeable subsystems to support the next era of commercial electrification.

Washington fleets: A $112M state incentive program is opening in April — and planning matters NOW! , vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to lower upfront costs on medium-duty zero-emission vehicles, with enhanced incentives for small businesses.

Range Zero Emissions outlines what to know and how to prepare ahead of launch.

Not your typical . No engine roar. No idling. Just the quiet confidence of a truck that's built to work.

And yes — this W56 isn’t showroom polished. It’s road-tested. Medium-duty trucks earn their respect in the field, not under studio lights. 🦾

Appreciate the Range Zero Emissions team for having some fun while highlighting what matters: quiet operation, zero tailpipe emissions, and a chassis engineered to handle real-world routes. If you’re in the Pacific Northwest, stop by Range’s Seattle (Fife) showroom and experience the quiet for yourself. And ask about Washington Zero-Emission Vehicle Incentive Program ( ) — now is the time to start planning for April funding.

Today is — a day that recognizes the invention that made modern electrification possible.

At Workhorse, our battery strategy is shaped by more than 19 million real-world miles. Experience like that changes how you spec, integrate, and support energy systems in a medium-duty truck.

We make battery decisions based on what happens after the truck leaves the terminal.

The W56 is powered by a 210 kWh LFP battery delivering ~170-190 miles of typical range. On many routes, that means charging every two or even three days instead of every night. Fewer interruptions in the yard. More flexibility when traffic builds or weather shifts.

For fleets running shorter, predictable routes, we also offer a 140 kWh option — engineered to the same standards and supported the same way — matched to a different duty cycle.

Battery Day recognizes the invention. We’re focused on making it work in the real world. Want to talk batteries and range? Reach us at https://workhorse.com/request-demo/
