I can’t belive I have to make this post but apparently it needs to be said. Please do not come out to the shop unannounced on a Sunday to confront me about the status of your vehicle. I understand that I can be hard to get a hold of most times and I understand that some vehicles are taking a long time but Sundays are the one day a week I try to spend time with family. Just because I happen to be at the shop on a Sunday does not mean I am available to talk work. Please respect that boundary.

Introducing our new 4 post drive on lift. This is a game changer for is here at Winter Raven Mechanical and Seward alike. This lift allows us to do a bunch of things we were not previously able to do. We can now put the European style vans like your Ford transit, Ram Pro-master, and Mercedes Sprinters on a lift. We now can work on fully equipped 4500/5500 utility trucks as well as just being a more stable and safe lift for pickup trucks in general. Lastly and maybe most importantly. I will soon be able to do 4 wheel alignments with this lift! Exciting times!

It may be cold out, but spring tire season is just around the corner for us. Don't wait to schedule your spring tire changeover soon. Winter Raven is ramping up to be as prepared as possible for this season. I have added a full-time mechanic and will soon be adding a full-time tire and l**e tech. I will also be getting a receptionist soon to help with the problem people have had getting a hold of me and just over all making the whole experience smoother. This has been a long time coming but with the closing of both Tirebrand and Outtatown Services I am having to ramp up much faster than intended. I realize I am compleatly unprepared to start this summer by myself. It is finally time I bring on some help. I am making a separate official want add but this is just explaining what is going on and what my plans are. I am currently planning to hire a full time mechanic and full time tire/l**e tech. I am also going to start work on my mobil repair rig so that I might be able to offer remote service in addition to my physical shop. I am going to have to slowly start cleaning my lot out of storage to make room for anticipated repairs. So I will for the first time be no longer offering a service I was offering. I am going to try and get a drive on lift for my back bay so that I can service the newer Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter vans. Winter Raven Mechanical is still growing and at this time I have no intentions to close shop. I do recognize that neither of the other two shops planned on closing so life does happen but just want to re-assure Seward that for the foreseeable future I am not planning on going anywhere.

Happy thanksgiving everyone. I just wanted to take a moment to thank every one of my customers for all of the support for my 1st “full” year in business. I knew that I had a hard road ahead when I started this business but I had no idea how hard. This was a very hard year with now that my name is out there I got really busy this spring and then with Tirebrand closing after Nathan’s passing, that level of busy went to a whole new level. Nathan you are sorely missed. I also lost two of my dogs this year. We had to put my 7 1/2 year old English Mastiff “Aslan” down because he was at end of life and had lots of increasing health issues. We then lost our other dog “Bowie” after he slipped out of the shop one night in early September and he got hit by a car. We did got a new shop dog “Rev” that is doing a good job of filling those empty shoes. I was then put into a position where I felt I had to take up doing tire changovers and that put my normal repairs on hold for a bit. I have some more things planned for for next year but 2026 is going to be exciting. Thank you Seward and spend as much time with the people you love this Thanksgiving. You never know when it may be the last.
