Due to warmer weather, WisDOT is ending Spring Thaw Class II and Posted Road restrictions for northern Wisconsin (Zones 1-2) on Thursday, April 30 at 12:01 a.m. Restrictions previously ended in Zones 3-5.

Class II roads include about 1,400 miles of state highways susceptible to damage from heavy trucks during the spring thaw period as frost leaves the ground. More info: https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/about-wisdot/newsroom/news-rel/042926-springthaw.aspx
