A huge thank you to the Robert and Angela Wetzel for the kind email they sent over to my general manager.
Good morning, Mike. I wanted to reach out to you again following our second buying experience with your dealership. My wife and I had been discussing the concept of buying a Yukon in the next few years. We currently have a 2024 Sierra which we were blown away with. The comfort, capabilities, and performance of that truck have exceeded our highest expectations for what we were looking to get out of a truck. This led us to the discussion of the Yukon. We had a beautiful Toyota Avalon, which was my daily drive vehicle for work. Although awesome for me, and for trips for my wife and I, we have 2 small dogs, which we take in the truck when we go places. We like to drive long distances on vacations, often, nonstop drives exceeding 20 hours. One of us drives, the other sleeps. With taking the dogs, we couldn't do this in either the truck or the Avalon. This led to exploring the Yukon.
I had my truck in your service department for a recall and maintenance. My wife and I looked at your inventory, seeing you had a beautiful Yukon Elevation in blue, and she wanted to take it for a test drive. We reached out to the salesman who helped us with the purchase of our truck, to no avail. My wife then contacted Mike Sandri for some information on the Yukon and set an appointment. Mike set us up with David Bressi to help us with our questions. We took the Elevation for a test drive and were not satisfied with the comfort of it or the performance of the engine. We had been expecting a similar ride and performance to our Sierra, which is a Denali and has a 6.2l engine, rather than the 5.3l in the Elevation. We were interested in driving a Yukon in the Denali trim, but there were none on your lot. There was one located on a lot in Bloomsburg, and we were discussing the ability to test drive that one, while still giving the sale to your dealership with David. Mike suggested we look at a used Yukon on your lot with the Denali trim. Although I have zero interest in used vehicles, we agreed to use that one as a comparison to the Elevation. Mike brought it around and we took it for a test drive.
We both were immediately impressed with the interior of the used Yukon, the comfort and the performance of the vehicle. David and Mike presented what we saw as a fair deal on that vehicle and we ended up purchasing the used Yukon.
Mike has known us both as customers for several years and knows full well I don't ever consider used vehicles. By thinking outside of the box to try to take care of us, he not only helped us, but ended up closing a sale through his simple courtesy and thoughtfulness. I had zero intention of purchasing a vehicle last Monday. We wanted to get some ideas and see if the Yukon was the right solution to our needs. Between David's patience with our questions and Mike's desire to take care of us as customers, they closed us on something we were unsure of. With that said, we could not be happier with the experience, thee purchase, and how your dealership treated us. I ordered floor liners for the Yukon and Mike took time out of his day to help us install them when we picked them up later in the week. This type of customer service is ultra rare in today's world, but it sets your manager and your team apart from the rest of the field. The owners should be very proud of the way your people treat customers.
Please give both David and Mike recognition for this. I know we are difficult customers to assist with car purchases and they both went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and were able to get the vehicle we wanted. I would have never considered a Denali Ultimate, but due to Mike bringing the used one over to show us, it is hands down, the nicest vehicle we've ever owned.
Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and your entire staff.
Robert (and Angela) Wetzel
