Headed to ATRA Powertrain EXPO on Tuesday, Amy and I are presenting a seminar on Wednesday at 6:00 on Working with the One you Love- how to survive and thrive! It will be great to see old friends and catch up. At our age it's mostly about what health issues everyone is dealing with, then talk about the grandkids and what we are going to do when we retire. I already made our reservation for Saturday night dinner at B**a On the Banks! We look forward to eating there every time we go to SAT.

Progress is slow on the instrument upgrade. Adding goodies like a throttle with buttons and switches, multi radios with remote control, full time power for phone charging, fun stuff like that. Got most of the existing wires landed and am now to the point of installing components. Got both radios mounted today as well as the engine monitor computer. Built a tray for the audio processor and the ADSB receiver. Tomorrow I'll build a second tray on the left side for the transponder and a processor to link the Garmin GPS to the main flight control system. It's not the most confortable thing to work on, but I am blessed to have an air conditioned hangar and I'm no deadline to finish. And I love the activity.

I can hardly believe that it's been almost a year since we were all at ATRA EXPO. Amy and I better get to work on our presentation about "Working with the one you Love" because we are first up on Wednesday evening! It'll be great. We are looking forward to sharing our experiences and hearing about yours, and answering questions all during the show. See you in a couple of weeks!

Busy in Hangar 5 these days- Jeff Smith's 63 Lincoln got a piggy back ride home to Overland Park where he will complete the engine install.. Benny is assembling a somewhat rare engine for a Studebaker Zip van and I've finally got the plane inside for the annual inspection and instrument panel upgrade.

Benny cleaning the threaded holes in the Studebaker engine we are rebuilding for a customer in Lees Summit.

We camp in the lot on the west side of the Coke bottling plant. It's managed every year by the local Lions club. They won this years best of trophy for doing an outstanding job dealing with the mud and the drunks and the keeping the peace like they do every year. They finally got the recognition they deserve!
