2024 is off to a great start at the shop!

We're busy every single day, all day long. And even though our queue is full out front, we're still turning out the work as smoothly and cleanly as we can. Still managing to learn a lot, make new procedures and checklists and keep customers happy enough to leave only 5-star reviews.

This doesn't mean we're perfect. It shows we work hard to be fair and deliver the value we believe customers should receive. Despite this, we still have nasty, sometimes misbehaving customers. The good, no, the great news on this is that for every terrible entitled temper-tantrum we endure, we have 99 amazing, supportive and satisfied customers.

Well, it appears we have found an area where people need our services. We have been incredibly busy since our second month. We're working 11 days a week and happy to stay busy.

We had two transmission failures towed in last week. Both were wearing for so long that they locked up and snapped the connection to the engine, leaving them undrivable or even non-startable.

Sometimes people call you and say "I need an alternator" and what they really mean is, we have to negotiate and prioritize repairs. We like to fix every problem and in this case, we worked with the customer to find ways to fit a cooling system replacement into their budget. We're flexible and always want to help first. If we do good, the rest will work itself out.

A great way to close the work week here. Finally, the wiring for the lost-cause e30. The latest barrier was power on switch, so if you know - you know. That check engine light and the relay sounds are big success indicators. Shortly after he cranked the car. More progress next week. (This car was a shell, with badly mangled wiring)

Earlier this year we took on a nearly lost cause, this home DIYer 325is with every forum idea ever created in mid-flight. Including a fuse box relocate, left partially started. My son, Zack, has been doing e30 projects for over 5 years. His special blend of youthful ignorance and abundant self-confidence makes for magical moments.
