Do you like the look of a high fender on your bike? We think it looks pretty bad ass, not to mention the functional gains from a high fender!

Something that's almost always over looked with other high fenders is custom made fork leg guards. Guards that won't rattle at high speed, and protect the semi-vulnerable forks. Many other brands use off the shelf fork leg guards or require you to source your own. The draw back is they won't be as secure or protect nearly as well.

Every high fender kit we include custom made parts and everything you need for a full, high quality kit.

Our competitors push a narrative that AltRider crash bars are too strong.

We're on a mission to dispel this myth and inform ADV riders that our bars are made to withstand serious hits and protect the bike. They're designed not 👏 to 👏 damage 👏 the 👏 bike 👏

This was in a very serious accident with AltRider crash bars. The rider had some broken ribs and a punctured lung, but fully recovered to ride again.

Looking at the damage done to the 1.25 inch crash bars, we can only speculate the forces from the impact. The 1.25 inch bars (only weigh 10% more) are twice as strong as standard 1 inch bars, so you can imagine how much *more* damage would be done with standard 1 inch bars.

The simple fact is these crash bars took an impact so big we all hope it won't happen to us, yet the frame of the bike has no visible damage. In fact, the bike owner feels the damage would have been *much* worse if he had standard 1 inch bars, and we agree!

The AltRider design philosophy is to secure the crash bars to the frame, the strongest part of the bike.

Another nasty accident with AltRider crash bars sent to us by socalslowconesmctraining

The rider was hit and the bike went skidding down the road. The crash bars suffered some major road rash and even he handle bars and mirror got some good scratches.

Here's what he said "Here are my bars and photos of the car after getting hit by a car. Saved a lot of damage to my leg and my bike. And no frame damage to my bike or anything. Those bars saved my bike and probably me a lot of damage. I immediately replaced them with the same."

We're glad to learn that although he had a shoulder injury he was otherwise just fine.

Strong, well designed crash bars kept the bike ride ready. Weaker crash bars, or crash bars designed to crumple and collapse would have most likely resulted in serious damage to the engine.

More stories of

Strong crash bars are critical to protect your bike from accidents.

These are photos from an older that had an accident at a fairly high speed and the bike went skidding down the road. The rider was fine, but look at that road rash on the bars! The bike took a major hit but was protected and was ride-ready after the rider collected himself.

Crash bars designed to collapse like a crumple zone just don't work with motorcycles. Crumple zones on cars are designed to protect the passengers, not the car. Crash bars on a motorcycle are designed to protect the motorcycle, not the rider.

This is especially critical for boxer engines, where exposed magnesium valve covers are vulnerable to damage. Any flex in crash bars transfers impact directly to these components, causing cracks that lead to expensive repairs and potentially leaving you stranded.

A balanced design between strength, weight, and flexibility is our goal.

We’ve been seeing the competition say that AltRider crash bars are too strong.

We’re here to dispel that myth with real world examples. The strong AltRider crash bars are engineered to protect the motorcycle and they do just that. Our bars are re not too strong, they’re strong enough so that the bike isn’t damaged

These are photos of a recent road accident sent to us by one of our loyal customers, thankfully everyone is alright!

With the AltRider crash bars the was undamaged and he rode away unscathed, the door didn't fare so well!

Striking the right balance of strength, weight, and flexibility isn't easy. The AltRider crash bars on this BMW R1250GS kept the rider safe and prevented damage to their bike.

AltRider crash bars offers the only 1.25" diameter crash bars on the market. This matters because the larger diameter is twice as strong as the standard 1" diameter bars, but only weighs 10% more. We've implemented this same industry leading protection in the design evolution of the crash bars for the new .

Tenere 700 Lower Crash Bar Install by AltRider

The rock solid crash bars you know and love from AltRider for the T7

The bars are constructed of 1 inch (25.4 mm) diameter stainless steel tubing, and mount to four points on the frame for strength and stability, providing substantial protection to the bike’s engine and soft metal case covers.

A solid core tube is used on the inner diameter to connect both sides of the crash bars together creating an incredibly robust connection that eliminates movement or shifting. Additionally the exterior of the bars are connected with a solid billet piece that maintains rigidity and adds a refined look.

Compatible with Euro 5 compliant models
