Yesterday, April 27th was Administrative Professional's day.....and Allied missed showing our gratitude and appreciation for @sguidos . It is easy to overlook celebrating this holiday, because it is hard to think of Shelley as "an administrative assistant". She is officially our Office Manager here at Allied Body Works. She has many tasks here at Allied that are consistent with an administrative assistant or Office Manager but her creative mind also adds many more fun jobs to her list.
She is a avid gardener and that carries over to Allied. Just this week, she beautified the front of our building.
Given the task to make our walls more interesting, her artistic talents also came up with the picture on our break room wall.
Thank you Shelley, for being an important part of the Allied team! We appreciate your dedication, creativity, but mostly your smile. Everyone who comes in the front door agrees, that they enjoy it most when you are here!

Allied Body Works, Inc is a truck equipment company in business since 1947 in South Seattle. We are currently looking for multiple people who take pride in their work, their company, continuous improvement, and in themself to join our team. We have several different positions available.
We produce completed vocational vehicles by fabricating and/or installing shelving interiors, flatbeds, electronics, hydraulics and much more to existing vehicles. Under regular supervision, shop technician will do such work, read instructions, and troubleshoot repairs. The variety of equipment installs is vast, and shop technician needs to be flexible, and well accustomed to working on custom applications.
Requirements:
• Does not require previous experience in truck equipment installation but will require general mechanical, electrical, and tool knowledge.
• Does not require welding certification, but welding experience a plus.
• Requires shop technician owned basic mechanical tools to compliment the vast array of shop owned tools that are used each day.
• Requires ability to lift 50lbs throughout production
• Requires the ability to operate hand and power tools
• Requires the ability to maintain a clean work area and keep equipment in a neat and organized manner.
• Requires communication with fellow technicians and supervisor
• Will be required to join the Sheet Metal Workers Union.

Allied Body Works, Inc was excited to bring in the first of its kind in the United States, this Kerock Dump Body package specifically designed for a Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis. The structure of this dump body is designed to lift evenly distributed 9,000 lbs loads. It has a reinforced ladder carrier to transport up to 2,000 lbs of lumber in the tipper. Has reinforced side panels to withstand the bending of strapping. The body is built of galvanized high-tensile steel sheet for anti-corrosion and is finished with an initial 80-micron coat of paint + a second 100-micron coat. The body has a flat, smooth and unobstructed floor making loading and unloading easy. The floor height takes advantage of Sprinter's low frame height making it easy to work out of. The side panels fold down and out of the way when loading from the side, and are protected on the top. The rear tailgate has an automatic bottom release when dumping, and can be manually unlatched to fold down when loading. The toolbox is ventilated enabling moisture to be evacuated and provides great storage for everything you need to get a job done. August 2nd, 2019 marked the 7th consecutive Allied customer appreciation tournament, and 10th, since 2007 in the long history of Allied Tournaments. There was great golf (and bad golf), an air cannon that shot your drive 300+ yards; Longest drive off of a flatbed; a surprise oversize cup; lots of great customers and vendors, and food and drinks throughout the day. Thank you to everyone that attended, and made the event what it is.

What a wonderful day! The weather was perfect, and we were so glad that we could share the day with customers and vendors.
Since Allied Body Works has been around since 1947 many of our customers have been doing business with us for a long time. So much so, that often times we don't get to see them often because things are set up to run smoothly. Getting together for the Classic gives us the opportunity to open the doors to our customers and vendors that have supported us through the years. This year we rolled out the red carpet....literally for bag drop, during registration.
Breakfast was served in the Fireside Room as we thanked our vendors by talking a little bit about them, and even sharing a few videos highlighting their products. During this time we were also able to share the highlights of our new website that is currently being built, and news that we received Notice of Approval for the patent on our Walker Blocker product. See www.walkerblocker.com. For those of you that missed the event, Walker Blocker is a safety product we developed that helps pedestrians and bicyclists from being injured by trucks.
After breakfast the fun and games began! This year we simultaneously ran a chipping and putting contest. The winners went away with some great prizes!
The main event was started with a shotgun (or rather an air horn). 17 Foursomes hit the course for a scramble...with a few twists. The teams were fairly evenly matched, but no one could prepare for the one, two punch of first using a "Golf Ball Launcher" using compressed air on Hole #3 for their drive; and then following that up by having to hit a drive off the top of a flatbed on Hole #4. Both sponsored by Knapheide. A lot of laughs and good times were had throughout the day, all while watching the live leaderboards that were loaded in the carts and sponsored by Adrian Steel.

Multiple times through the round you could hear and see the Blue Angels flying overhead for Seafair. At one point "Fat Albert" even did a low turn right over the course.
If all of that wasn't enough we ended the night back on the patio with a wonderful meal, and desserts, joined by our non-golfing guests and spouses.
