Did you know?

You should replace air filters annually. A clogged air filter puts an added load on your car's A/C system and reduces heat in winter. This is why it is best to replace at least once a year.

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday! As always call or come by for all you repair needs.

DID YOU KNOW?

Your cooling system and/or radiator should be flushed once every four years. Over time coolant can become acidic and can end up doing serious damage to your gaskets and overall integrity of your cooling system as well as shorten the life of other parts like hoses, belts and your radiator. Further, you should not mix different types of engine coolants because they can also do serious cooling system damage. Always check with your mechanic about what is the proper coolant to use in your cooling system.

Today's did you know!

Do you know how to check your oil?

Checking your oil in the morning, when your oil has had time to thoroughly drain from the engine is the best time.
Lift your hood, locate your dipstick. (Unscrew it if necessary.) Have a towel/paper towel ready. You are going to pull out the dipstick, clean it off and make sure you are familiar with the markings regarding the fill levels for minimum and a maximum oil levels. Now you are going to reinsert the dipstick and pull it out again, this time you are going to compare the oil level to the markings. The oil level should be at or near the maximum oil mark. If the oil level is near or below the minimum oil mark, it is best to schedule an oil change. Make sure you have reinserted the dipstick and close your hood.

If you are still unsure of what to do when checking your oil you can always give us a call to schedule a time to bring you vehicle in or if you know your ready for the oil to be changed you can always bring it by to be serviced.

Have a wonderful day!
