Come out and See us!

Wake the Dead, a vehicle audio competition that has been held in Searcy for several years, returns to the Searcy Sports Complex on Saturday, October 17. The event draws participants and visitors from across the country to Searcy. Because the competition centers around vehicle sound systems, residents and businesses in the surrounding area should expect extremely loud music and increased noise levels throughout the event. No soccer games or other activities will be scheduled in the immediate area during that time. Veterans Boulevard will also be closed from Recreation Way to Booth Road during the event.

The City is working closely with event organizers to accommodate the unique needs of the competition while minimizing disruptions to residents and the traveling public as much as possible. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we welcome competitors and visitors to Searcy for the event.
