1965 Plymouth Belvedere
In the 60's Mopars ruled Super Stock classes at the Drag-Strips. Chrysler engineers came up with a full size car they referred to as "Maximum Performance" automobiles. This 1965 Plymouth we have listed for sale is a clone of one of those cars. These cars are referred to as "Max Wedges" with a Cross Ram Intake Manifolds and Dual 4 Barrel Carburetor. Chrysler pioneered and perfected this design early on.
This Belvedere has a 440 cu. in. V-8 with a Steel Crank Shaft, Eagle connecting rod, SRP Forged Pistons, Mopar Performance 590 Solid Lifter cam. Harland Sharp Roller Tipped Anodized Aluminum Rockers and all Aluminum Indy Cylinder Heads. The Transmission is a 727 3 Speed Reverse Manuel Valve Body Torque Flight. The Rear is a Mosher Engineering Axles with Long Studs. All Exterior Trim was either Rechromed or Polished. The Interior is Gary Bell A990 Super Stock. All of the Glass is New besides the Back Window. The Exhaust Headers are Long Tube by TTI and the Exhaust Pipes exit out from under the car Front of the Rear Wheels. The Exhaust is 3" Flowing through Ho**er Arero Chamber Mufflers. Big Block Mopars are referred to as "Ground Pounders" and this 1965 Plymouth Belvedere Definitely Qualifies.
