New Product Release - Deep Sump 300-340-350 Oil Pan & Pickup Tube

As time goes on, it gets harder and harder to find good original parts for our Buick's. In our quest to provide quality replacements for sought after engine parts, one of the last critical items for us to develop was a replacement oil pan for the small block engines. Like our oil pans for the 400-430-455, we incorporated a few improvements to make it a better pan yet retail that stock look. We started by filling in the "kick-in" at the back that was for the stock single exhaust crossover to increase oil capacity. We also dropped the front of the pan about 3/8 of an inch to get the pan further away from the crankshaft to reduce windage (which gains some horsepower), and the rear of the pan about 3/4 of an inch to further increase the oil capacity of the sump. As a result, this pan (TA 1511-350) requires our new deep sump pickup tube (TA 1520H). Total oil capacity is 6 quarts at the full line on the dip stick (vs 4 on the stock pan), but we recommend running 5 quarts on the street to reduce windage (as 5 quarts is plenty for street applications).

New Product Release - Reproduction Valve Cover Bolts for 350 & 400-430-455 Stamped Steel Valve Covers

It may not strike you as obvious, but good factory style valve cover bolts can be hard to come by, especially chrome bolts for use on chrome stamped steel valve covers. Many have bent flanges from over-tightening trying to stop an oil leak, or have dulled/rusted over time. New bolts were available in the past, but they were expensive, and then the manufacturer stopped producing them. Reproducing these has been a side project for us since they were discontinued a few years ago and we're excited to bring them back to the market, better than ever!

Our reproduction valve cover bolts look just like the factory bolts but with a few minor improvements. The first is our bolts are nickel plated, so they still shine and look great on chrome valve covers (see attached picture) and spray paint adheres to the nickel much better than chrome for those who want to paint them to match their valve covers. Second is the threaded portion of our bolts are longer than any previously available. This is for the enthusiasts that are using roller rockers with a stamped steel valve cover, which requires a thick 1/4"-3/8" gasket. The thicker gasket results in only a few threads of the bolt engaging in the cylinder head (if you can even get them in). Our bolts provide 1/4"+ of thread engagement.

$24.95 for a 400-430-455 set (TA 1329AB) and $29.95 for a 350 set (TA 1329EB).
