That one time we sent Kaman out with a 200k engine mid Championship season because his race engine was out for repairs... qualified fastest, won the trophy dash, then won another main event, from the back of the pack to #1. There was no slowing him down. This was the day we PROVED that the HCU is the component that makes a car fast. Not the engine. You can have $20k in your engine, and still suck at driving...

I was recently talking with one of the next generation of grassroots racers.

Ryanne ( #18) has dreamed of racing since age 5, and at the July 3rd OSCRA event, finally got to live that dream in a race for the very first time, and recently told me, "It was hands down the best experience ever. The compact racers are such a great community."

Ryanne is hoping to be back on the track for the August 28th race at DCDT, but is in need of about $120 in fuel system parts to get the car race-ready again.
