The rain delay has created an opportunity to take inventory of your 2026 w**d control.

As you get back into the fields, take note of what w**ds are still growing and where your biggest problems are. Some fields may need attention immediately after harvest, while others may be better addressed later this fall.

Last year’s rain during harvest gave us the unwanted opportunity to learn a few new ways to manage w**ds before and immediately after harvest. We might as well put that knowledge to use!

Budgets are limited, and we know no one wants to spray more than necessary. But there are certain w**ds and fields that need to be addressed now to make next year easier.

Take inventory now. Make a plan for fall. Set yourself up for a better start next spring.

And as always, talk with your PRO Co-op agronomist about the best options for your fields.

Premium fuel is only as good as the tank storing it.

At PRO Co-op, we take fuel quality seriously from the moment it enters our bulk storage tanks until it reaches your equipment. That’s why we bring in Advanced Environmental Technology almost every year to clean and polish our storage tanks.

You may have recently seen the team at work, filtering suspended deposits and removing moisture from our tanks. Thanks to this regular maintenance, only minimal contaminants continue to be found—helping ensure the fuel you receive stays clean and ready to perform.

Because when it comes to keeping your operation running, the details matter.

Late moisture has given w**ds a second wind, and we're getting plenty of questions about harvest aids.

Depending on the crop and the w**ds you're targeting, there may be options to help improve crop uniformity, harvestability and w**d control before the combine rolls.

In wheat, timing is especially important. Applications made too early can lead to shrunken kernels. Wheat should be at the appropriate stage before applying a harvest aid.

The right product, timing, adjuvants and water rates all matter.

Before you spray, talk with your PRO Co-op agronomist and make sure you're following the correct crop stage, application guidelines and pre-harvest intervals.

If your pulse crops—especially chickpeas—are still growing, desiccation timing can get tricky after a rain.

Late moisture can green up the top of the crop and even cause new flowers to appear, making a field look less mature than it really is. Before making a decision, get down under the canopy and take a closer look at the pods. You may find that much of the crop is ripening right on schedule.

Timing matters, and every field can be a little different.

If you're unsure whether your pulses are ready, give your PRO Co-op agronomist a call. We can come take a look and help you determine the right timing.
We also have ground and aerial application available if needed.

We know budgets are limited, but there are certain w**ds and fields that need attention before next year. A little planning now can help set you up for a cleaner start in the spring.

Take a look at what worked, what didn’t, and where problem w**ds may need to be addressed. Let’s make a plan for post-harvest and fall w**d management that makes sense for your operation.
