September 11, 2001: Hijackers flew two commercial airliners into the twin towers of New York, causing their tragic collapse and the loss of thousands of lives of civilians and emergency personnel.

The site is now home to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, which honors the victims of the attacks. Reflecting pools now occupy the footprints where the original Twin Towers once stood, adjacent to the new One World Trade Center.

Today we remember that unforgettable day in our nations history. A day that isn’t taken lightly. We remember the tragedy that was 9/11 and all those whose lives will forever be inscribed on bronze parapets surrounding the twin waterfall pools where the Twin Towers once stood. May we all never forget and always be thankful the be an American 🇺🇸

We were profoundly humbled to receive this esteemed award in 2025, as it served as a beacon of validation for our tireless efforts, despite being previously unaware of its existence. Being recognized in this manner not only filled us with a sense of pride but also reaffirmed our purpose, which we have been passionately pursuing since acquiring Leonard's in 2022. Receiving this distinction twice is a resounding testament to the unwavering support of our community, and we are eternally grateful for the privilege of serving Jennings County. Your acknowledgment serves as a poignant reminder of our core objective: to make a profound impact in our hometown, while preserving the legacy of an iconic local business. Our goal has always been to provide exceptional customer service and establish ourselves as a trusted local tire shop, and this recognition serves as a shining affirmation that we are achieving our aspirations, thanks to your loyalty and trust. We are deeply indebted to you, our valued customers, for empowering us to remain in operation. We extend our sincerest gratitude to the entire Jennings County community from the Leonard's team. Without your unwavering support, we would not be here today, and for that, we are forever grateful. Thank you 🧡
