Today’s project a 26’ Chevy Equinox RS in a stunning black metallic. This got a mild paint correction before a ceramic coating (yes even brand new cars need this prior especially black) and as always a dealer badge removal. This metallic pops and is protected for years.

After a couple weeks of sickness Im back at it and a bit behind. I haven’t forgotten about anyone. This 22’ Kia K5 I coated when new and its back for a decon wash and boosting. Back to new looking!

This weekend’s project a Dodge Challenger HEMI. R/T…. This got a paint correction and Advanced Graphene Ceramic coating. A full detail inside and out. Ofcourse I forgot interior photos. This metallic grey POPS!!!

This weekends project a brand new 26’ VW GOLF R in Graphite Grey….This came directly from the dealer and got ceramic coated. This German pocket rocket packs 328 hp out of a 4cyl engine with AWD. Thats 2hp less than the small block V8 in my Corvette. This also has the largest brake rotors and calipers Ive ever seen for a car this size!!

This quick video was taken immediately after decon washing of a 1yr old coating. This has NOT been wiped with a booster yet.
Your coating is great protection, but that doesnt mean your car wont get dirty. It will shed water and dirt much faster and last 50x longer than any wax but still gets dirty. Just like the windows on your house. A decon wash is iron remover, a high PH soap/foam canon soaking, hand wash with microfiber mitt, then a clay mitt, rinse and then using a boosting agent as a drying aid for a wile down. This adds an additional layer, and gloss that adds additional life to your coating.

The other project was a 25’ Camry Sport Hybrid that I coated when new last year. Back for a decon wash, boosting and detail. Glossy and well protected.

This past weekend was a couple projects and I was lazy w the pics. Basically this 23’ Colorado Z71 was coated by me when new almost exactly 3 years ago in June. Its back for a decon wash, boosting, and detail. This coating still had lots of life yet and now even more on top.

Now is also a good time to talk about “Car Washes” this time of year when hand washing is not an option (even for me)….
1st off at these temps it is pointless and unnecessary. Once temps rise above arctic a “touchless” ONLY or self serve bay is the best.
AT ALL COSTS… avoid the “soft cloth” brushing car washes, “wash clubs” hand drying your car with dirty rags, and especially the foaming brush at any car wash. Having come from a car wash owning family I have seen and know where these brushes have been. The ground & someone’s truck bed to pull out the mulch and dirt. DONT USE IT EVER!
And those soft cloths are not so soft, or clean this time of year. They dont rinse them regularly and you are getting the dirt from the 419 cars ran in front of you ground against your clear coat. It will look great that day, but come June your panels will look horribly swirled and wonder why…. This… is why! 10x if you have a black or dark car.
If you have a ceramic coated vehicle you certainly have extra protection but this is the best way to decrease its lifespan. Maintenance wash your car a couple times in the winter via touchless then treat it to a real deep clean bath in the spring/summer!

One of the things I do to all the vehicles I do early in the season is bathe the undercarriage. Especially after a winter like this. The automatic car washes do very little.
