PA Healthy Lands Week is Coming to Bedford County!
Mark your calendars for September 26th through October 4th, because PA Healthy Lands Week is right around the corner—and Shawnee State Park is excited to be a big part of it!
We’re calling on our amazing community to step up and help keep Shawnee State Park beautiful and preserved for generations to come. Whether you're looking to give back, connect with fellow outdoor lovers, or spend a day making a hands-on impact, we have a project for everyone!
Ways You Can Get Involved & Give Back:
Pavilion Restoration – Help freshen up and restore our community picnic spaces.
Invasive Species Removal – Clear out non-native plants to protect local ecosystems.
Fish Habitat Installation – Build and deploy structures to support underwater wildlife in Shawnee Lake.
Park Clean-Up Projects – Keep our trails, shorelines, and green spaces pristine.
Facility Maintenance & Upgrades – Lend a hand in improving the amenities we all enjoy.
