Lowering springs up front, axle flip and notch in the rear, new shocks all the way around and the 2 things that gave me the biggest problems were the rear shocks and bump stops. You would think those would be the easiest of the job but nope.

A lil more progress on the Shoebox. Firewall and front clip done. Trying to get it to the point where I can take everything for this and the 55 Nomad to the powdercoater at the same time and get both firewalls painted. Huge thank you to Chris Peay for coming over and giving me a hand at getting the front subframe all welded in. Now to get the front sheetmetal all mocked up so I can modify the inner fenders to clear the A Arms and get the radiator support mount welded in.

Everyone keeps asking when the 57 is coming back out. Honest answer is I dont really know. Theres lots of things I want to do and things I want to change before she hits the streets again and I got a couple cars here that Im gonna finish and get gone before I even touch the 57 again. Long story short, she’ll be back out when she’s ready and be badder and better than ever. Until then she’ll keep collecting dust down in the shop.

Clipping and bagging the Shoebox and fixing the fu**ed all to hell firewall. I know who did the work on this car and he must of been back on dope at the time because Ive seen him do some amazing things when he is sober.

Been a while since Ive been back working on Bill Rogers truck so I came out this afternoon and got the holes in the bed all cleaned out and got the rest of the trim on. Pass side was clear but for some reason when it got painted they filled the holes on the drivers side. Starting to look like a truck again.

I dont think people realize how expensive it really is for me to keep up on my supplies to rewire vehicles. Just ordered some 1/8 and 1/4 wire loom that I use and just that is $200 and I’ll run through that in no time. Now add all the tape I use, zipties, connectors, bulkhead connectors, heatshrink, solder and whatever else. I end up spending at least $2000 - $4000 a year just on supplies. Stuff that used to be $36 for a box is now $65, the price on connectors has gone through the roof, tape is damn near $10 a roll now. Its crazy to see the price of s**t double just in the last couple years but what I charge hasnt really gone up much at all in the last 10. Makes me start thinking I need to adjust my prices to todays market. I just hate to do that but my profits just keep getting smaller and smaller with every year that passes. I refuse to use a lesser and cheaper made product just to offset my costs and profits. I will continue to use what I use and have been using for years unless I find a better product. My quality of work wont go down either.
