It is perplexing to comprehend the difficulty in recognizing the necessity of slowing down and shifting lanes when possible or merely decreasing speed if lane changes are not feasible. Such actions seem to arise from ignorance. Enforcement measures such as sting operations issuing fines and sharing images of offenders on social media could serve as a straightforward deterrent.

Safer Road Rescue Scams

Safer road Rescue has been widely reported as a fraudulent operation that takes customer payments without providing adequate service or misrepresents their services to both customers and partner companies. Customers have reported overcharging, poor service, and being scammed by the company. The company has been involved in multiple complains and has been reported as a scam by various customers.



I have some search myself and all I see is how they scam both companies they try and partner with as well as those who contact them. It appears this has been going on for at least a few years as I have seen things all the way back to 2023.

This incident marks the second time in 2019 that the truck was struck. On this occasion, the collision occurred while the vehicle was positioned on the side of Tilson Road with its lights activated, and the subject's vehicle hit it at a speed of 55mph. Fortunately, the driver was inside the cab and sustained only minor injuries, including slight whiplash. The driver of the passenger vehicle exited the scene, reportedly shaken and experiencing soreness. It is crucial to note that these accidents can be entirely prevented if drivers simply move over when possible and slow down in the presence of emergency personnel or any vehicle with flashing lights along the roadside. This serves as a reminder that such incidents can happen anywhere, and vigilance is essential.

PLEASE SLOW DOWN - At a recent meeting with our local wrecker companies, the discussion turned to safety. ALL agency representatives at the table voiced concerns over the public's lack of consideration for tow trucks operating on the road.

Did you know?? Michigan's Move Over law includes tow truck operators as emergency service personnel and also considers their properly lighted trucks and equipment as emergency vehicles.

Below are several links that provide specific information on the law and penalties that are associated with it. Penalties are one thing, injuring or killing someone is something else completely. Its not worth it.
