Drumroll, please! 🥁 The winner of our 2nd Annual Summer Raffle is......FRANK KING!!

Thank you to EVERYONE that helped make our 2nd Annual Summer Raffle a SUCCESS! 115 tickets were purchased....that's $1,150.00 for the Chippewa County Animal Shelter! Our winning ticket came from Aune Osborne Campground.

I want to send a special thanks out to all the folks at Aune Osborne Campground, Sav's Garage, Chippewa County Animal Shelter, and Soo Locks Campground for their willingness to help us sell these tickets!

Hi All! Just about a week left to purchase your tickets for a chance to win the basket! I appreciate everyone that has already purchased tickets and look forward to seeing what our grand total is for the Chippewa County Animal Shelter this year!

If you haven't had a chance to get your tickets yet, it isn't too late! Tickets are for sale at Aune Osborn Campground - Host Site, Soo Locks Campground Office, Sav's Garage, the Chippewa County Animal Shelter or from us directly!

Hey everyone! Remember our Summer Raffle last year? We are excited to say we are doing the raffle AGAIN this year. We had wonderful community and camper support for this fundraiser in 2024 and hope to see that continue in 2025! We have paired with a few local places to sell raffle tickets with us. As with last year, the entire expense of the basket is ON US -- from the raffle items, to the tickets, to the shipping (if the winner does not live in Sault Ste. Marie). Each ticket is $10 and will get the purchaser ONE ENTRY in the raffle. The winner of the raffle will get EVERY BASKET ITEM.

This year, we have some locally made items to include a GORGEOUS cutting board made from a photo of the Mackinac Bridge. Photo taken by John Bullman Photography and brought to life by my mama!

Every single cent of ticket sales will go directly to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter. The basket is valued at over $750! Take a look at the poster below--these will be posted around town and have photos of all basket items.

Ticket will be on sale through Friday, August 15th. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, August 16th.

Tickets can be purchased at the Chippewa County Animal Shelter, Sav's Garage, Soo Locks Campground, Aune Osborn Campground - Host Site, or from us directly. A huge thank you to our local supporters that are helping make this happen! 💞

For those of you that didn't know, Shawn and I split our time between our business and the Bruce Township Fire Department (that's actually how we met just over 15 years ago now). Our department was nominated for the 2025 Ice Bucket Challenge for Mental Health Awareness. We completed that challenge this evening with several of our fellow firefighters.

We wanted to take just a moment to recognize the reality of mental health challenges faced by so many today. Please know, no matter what you are going through, no matter how hard the day, the world is BETTER WITH YOU IN IT! If there is ever anything we can do or any support we can offer, we are here for you! Many of our customers have become like family, most know where we live--our door is always open. 💕

I joke that the dogs are my favorite part of our job (but am I really joking?😆). We had a general discussion about where all our money goes each year and why, etc. Ya know, all the boring (dogless) parts of business ownership. We decided to do something a little bit different this year: instead of spending money on advertising, we are going to shift that ENTIRE budget in to creating a BIG, BEAUTIFUL camping themed basket. We have paired with a few local places to sell raffle tickets with us. The entire expense of the basket is ON US -- from the raffle items, to the tickets, to the shipping (if the winner does not live in Sault Ste. Marie). Each ticket is $10 and will get the purchaser ONE ENTRY in the raffle. Every single cent of ticket sales will go directly to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter. The basket is valued at over $750! Alright, everyone...check out these two cuties! Their names are Alvin and Sylvester. Alvin is 10 years young and Sylvester has been at the shelter since March with no interest shown by any potential adopters. Both are located at the Chippewa County Animal Shelter awaiting their forever families. We are sponsoring 50% of the adoption fee for anyone with an approved application for these beauties thru the Animal Shelter. Let's get these boys home! 💕🙌
