Brief Job Description:
Manage a variety of responsibilities with vehicle repairs from hammering out minor dents to windshield replacements to paint jobs. When not repairing collision damage, working on minor repairs such as buffing out scratches or refurbishing corrosion damage.

Have you ever stepped on the gas .. held your breath, and barreled right through one of those big snow drifts? There’s been a lot of those this year!

If you have .. hopefully your vehicle faired better on the other side than many others we see in the shop! 🫣

This 2019 Buick Envision took on some snow drifts and it did quite a bit of damage! Flexed a bunch of the front end, broke the headlight, and even bent the engine cradle.

Snow drifts get HARD!!

Although technology has come a long long way over the years .. especially in regards to paint matching… many times, we still have to spend a little time using our experience and knowledge to get those colors to match “just perfect”!

An average car weighs about 4,850 pounds. The average deer weighs around 175 pounds. The force involved in hitting a deer in a car moving at 70 mph on the freeway (assuming that the impact is head-on) is 137,676 Newtons or about 101,544 foot-pounds. That is nearly 35 TIMES the amount of force needed to break a human leg bone! 😳

Needless to say, the amount of damage this type of collision can have on a car is quite extensive, and can be quite spendy because of that. Sometimes insurance may even decide to just total it. (A car is considered to be a total loss when the overall cost of damages approaches or exceeds the value of the car.)

Have you ever been driving behind a vehicle and then all of a sudden that vehicle kicks up a rock .. and then that rock comes flying at you right into your windshield?! THEN .. after you recover from about messing in your shorts .. you realize … great.. there is now a massive crater in my windshield. That’s Awesome.
