We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and former employee, Duane Hill.

Duane worked here for seven years, but he remained a friend long after his time here ended. He was truly one of the best men we have ever known: a highly skilled craftsman, a patient teacher, and someone who did things the right way. He personally trained me on some of the most intricate and detailed machines in our shop, and I will always be grateful for the time, patience, and knowledge he shared with me.

More importantly, Duane was a proud and loving family man, a dedicated farmer, and the kind of person who would do anything for someone in need. He was funny, upbeat, and positive nearly every day. He was an old-school, hardworking man who faithfully served his country and his community.

Duane made a lasting impact on all of us, and he will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Cool shot of the lid of Dave’s first toolbox at WRP back in the day - when the Dr. Watson ’69 Camaro, and this Snap-on toolbox, traveled to drag races all over the Eastern U.S.A.

The box is still at WRP and now houses drill bits, end mills, and other tooling.
