Oklahoma Statutes §21-1737.
General Theft of Services (False Pretense / Larceny)
• Statutory Basis: General non-payment or obtaining services through deception is handled under Oklahoma’s larceny (§21-1701) or false pretenses/trickery statutes (§21-1541.1).
• Definition: Using a trick, deception, false representation, or confidence game to obtain valuable things or services with the intent to cheat and defraud.
• Penalties (Under $1,000): Classified as a misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $1,000, up to one year in county jail, or both. If the value of the service exceeds higher statutory thresholds (such as $1,000 or more), it scales up to felony grand larceny levels
